Default not enough power to start

hi guys, new to the forum.
i'm having a problem with my 02 blazer and i'm kinda stumped, maybe someone would be able to help me out.
for the past couple weeks i've been coming out and it won't start, ONLY once a week it will be dead. kinda like i'm leavin a light on or something, but i know for sure i'm not. when i turn it over it clicks but not a starter click, it's kinda like a click, click, click. to me it sounds like a electrical click.
for the past 2 days it's been dead on me in the morning. when i jump it for my wife in the morning it runs fine for her all day. then it will sit for 5, 10 minutes and it will be dead at night.
i've been playin with it all morning ! i've noticed that if it doesn't start the tailgate will latch open??? i disconnected the gate switch on the dash thinking maybe a short but it's still acting funny. the battery is good, fully charged. the alternater is also good. i pulled the cables off the battery and they had a little corrosion on them so i cleaned them up and still the same results.
with the battery fully charged it starts like there's just enough power to turn it over. when i hook up my spare battery with some j.c. it still barely starts but, if you jump it with another running car it will fire right up. i'm stumped and p*ssed. i'm thinkin maybe the battery cables are bad. anybody have any clue ?

thanks for the reply zero. i haven't done a load test but i've swapped 3 different batteries into it since it started happening and still the same. the weird thing is once it's dead the keys will lock into the ingnition and won't come out until the battery has some charge to it. i'm going to play with it tonight at work and see what i can find out..
