OBD II programmer compatibility?
ive got a 95 blazer with all of the obdII compliant stuff on it. ive noticed that not all scan tools will read it, but some do. i was looking into getting a programmer to go in and adjust shift points and such and was wondering what programmers would work? i plan on doing it with quite a few late model cars as well, but i want to only get one programmer
I do not think you will have much luck finding anything that is compatible with your year. HP Tuners would be about the only one that I think you would have any luck with, but I just took a look at their vehicle list and it doesn't cover anything below an '01 for the s-series which corresponds with when they changed the PCM, IIRC.
alrighty, thanks. i talked to my snap-on rep, they have one that will do what i want for both obd1 and 2, but it costs $3500. he seriously tried to sell it to. that would take way too long to have it pay for itself
