OBD PORT INOP - 2000 4Dr 4WD 4.3L Auto
Hello all, been a while since on the forum but recent problems bring me back. Short version of the story is:
Loss of power over several days eventually so severe it became undrivable. SES light was on coming back to the house. Went out to check the next morning and no SES. Figured there had to be codes registered as the SES had been on for two days. Hooked up my code reader and it didn't power up. Figured my code reader had gone bad so borrowed a new one from a friend and it wont power up either.
Would appreciate any words of wisdom on the OBD issue and will post another thread on the loss of power.

Totally forgot to come back and update.. Turned out to be a blown fuse I missed in the 1st go-round .
Loss of power was caused by clogged catalytic converter. Removal and straight pipe replacement works wonders.
