Obd question with GM tech 1

Thanks for the info Ranjam.. Those adapters you have are exactly what I have. According to the bosch website, the P/N 02001575 crosses over to my P/N 3000053 adapter. This should work and I cannot understand what the deal is with this tech 1. My Snap-on solus will read the dtc, but it will not do the functions like the tech 1. The tech 1 works perfect in my son's, 95 skylark, minus the adapters that are required for the blazer. I don't know what is wrong, but if you come with an idea, let me know. My pcm is mounted on the coolant bottle.

Flipping through my factory service manual;

Check your 8th digit VIN or check your RPO codes and look for either a L34 or LB4. it is most likely a "Z" or LB4 indicating a VCM controlled system which is the big black box mounted above the coolant bottle. If that is the case, you will need an additional item called a Vehicle Interface Module.

Wish I could help you find one as they are getting increasingly rare.
