So occasionally and completely randomly, I get the service 4WD light...it comes and goes. Today, after some reading here, I got to looking around and it looks like the actuator and cable can move freely, although I did not test it with the battery hooked up. I started tracing the vacuum lines and once I got to the firewall I found that they are in amazingly poor shape. I can't believe the 4x4 works at all!
