I am not able to source AC Delco oil coolant lines for my 2004 Chevy Blazer (w/ 175000 mi and leaky oil lines). I have decided to NOT do a delete.

I'm seeing a lot of folks report that they need to redo their oil lines not long after a first replacement, whereas I want to do this once.

What exact part(s) from which supplier(s) should I purchase?

Or, if I should attempt to buy an AC Delco part, where would I buy it from? I haven't found any vendors I recognize having this in stock.

Funny you should mention the aux cooler lines. I had mine installed a few weeks ago. At 82k I got a leak from the lines going up to the radiator. Made a mess. I was tied up at work so I had my mechanic change both of them out. I had to go back on my purchase history and found I bought them back 2 years ago from Amazon. I don't see them for sale anywhere anymore. My mechanic told me he would only install the GM / acdelco ones because the doorman ones fail prematurely a lot.

 

I hired a mechanic to replace the fuel pump in this vehicle a couple of years ago. I always ask for AC Delco 100% of the time for my parts and he told me it was AC Delco. It failed after 7000 miles, and I was not even running the fuel pump below a quarter tank ever. The original part lasted more than 150k miles. I took it to the dealer who took photographs, the part was definitely not AC Delco. :-(

 

Sorry to hear that, I also did the fuel pump after a leak burnt it out. I bought the delphi. You have to be carefull with AC\Delco as they are not always same as GM oem parts. I have purchased AC delco parts to only find another brand inside a sealed bag. It appears the OEM parts for this era truck are becoming obsolete, and I can only imagine it getting worse as time goes on.

Most are AC/Delco as they are the direct supplier for many of General Motors parts, but some parts are Straight up GM parts were in many cases AC/Delco makes a clone part just like any other 3rd party. I dont know what parts are actually manufactured by GM anymore, if any. Probably none; you will only find new old stock from sellers online. When you buy from parts distributors, you will see the GM parts from time to time. It's usually 3 times the cost because you're paying the middleman. And it's a toss-up if you're actually getting a genuine GM part or just a rebadge. I had this happen with my wife HHR. I bought the "GM" coil springs and got Ac/delco ones.

 

So I managed, after some calling around, to find a chevy dealer where the parts department claims to be able to obtain this part from somewhere despite it being discontinued, but they aren't telling me from where and they do say it is an OEM part. Should I believe them? How can I protect myself against this being a cruddy part? Do we know what the physical appearance (any general motors or ac delco logo) on the part looks like? Do I see "GM" on the photograph of your lines, and if so is that a photograph of a true GM OEM part?

P.S. My original amazon searches didn't work out, but simply entering the part number only (which is 15194577) on amazon yields this:

So you will know because the hose are stamped with the GM logo, and it should have a GM label with part number on it.

 

Here is a perfect example of GM parts vs direct manufacture parts. Look at the line up of available fuel pumps for my truck. Notice the GM fuel pump. Its mostly likely a Delphi rebadge. Hence why i bought the delphi and saved money.

 

The photo of your oil coolant lines is incredibly useful thank you. When I did the second fuel pump replacement, the dealer suggested whatever part O'Reilly had (not Delphi) because the fuel pumps are also discontinued, and after some reading I asked them do go with Delphi, which they did. Looks like I lucked out in making a good choice (fingers crossed!).
