Oil Leak-Valve Cover-2001 4WD
I've had a pretty steady oil leak for the last six months or so, and I've just kept a close eye on it and made sure to keep it full. I've been told by the lube tech guy that its leaking from the valve cover (s) and that it'd be a pretty major repair considering the age/value of the vehicle (180K miles). How much $ would I be looking at to repair? Is it something I could do myself? I'm looking to sell it in the next few months and am considering options. Thanks

Valve cover gaskets are quite easy and inexpensive to replace. The valve covers are right there were you can get at them with minimal disassembly...
It must be coming from somewhere else. Like the oil cooler lines or possibly a rear main seal leak. The rear main seal is a very expensive repair while the oil cooler lines really are not too bad.
