Default Oil pressure reading normal??

1998 blazer LT

Startup 45psi
Completely warm at idle 500-600rpm 20psi(this is where im concerned)

To me 20 is low even at 500-600rpm shouldnt it be at 40+ at all times??

As soon as i step on the gas it goes to 40 its onlt below 40 at idle..

According to GM, ~8psi is the minimum oil pressure with pressure gaining about 10psi per 1000RPM to a maximum of around 60psi.

Looks fine to me.

ditto...20 is exactly what mine has been for 12 years. Normal driving is 40.

ok, how about one that flickers slightly side to side pretty fast about say 1/8th inch on the gauge at idle/operating temp. mine started doing this a long time ago.

Could be the gauge or sensor. What year is your truck?
