Check this out,[sm=hiya.gif]
I was checking TSB's and found one that I'm sure will help those of you in Cali with 96-03 4.3's. It relates to SCFI problems (SES light, misfire, rough idle or hard start condition)
It covers the SCFI failure condition described above for a period of TEN YRS,or 200,000 MILES withever occures first from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, REGARDLESS OF OWNERSHIP![sm=icon_rock.gif]
This applies to repairs requiring SCPI system servicing, injector cleaning and or MFI assembly replacement of the SCPI system. The repairs will be made AT NO CHARGE TO THE OWNER!!![sm=happy046.gif]
There is more but I'm too lazy to post it, if you want to see more look up TSB 99066F dated March 2003. It won't help me ( I've done the MFI upgrade) but I live in FLORI DUH.[sm=partyparty.gif] But if you live in Cali you got it made!

Yes, this is a special policy noted in the TSB for the SCFI cleaning/replacement.
So you have to not only be a California resident, but also have a RPO YF5 vehicle.
Some California vehicles may be covered by Special Policy 99066E if built with California Emissions RPO YF5. If the vehicle is covered by the special policy, then that warranty information should be used.
