Default Overhead Display - Ice indicator

Ok, so I am sure this is probably a dumb question and I do not have a copy of the manual for this vehicle since it was bought used.

I have a 95 2DR LS S10 BLZR w/ the overhead temp/compass. What does the little "ice" light below next to the temp mean? I live in Iowa and it got down to 35 degrees today, but no precipitation/ice.

Also, are there any other little indicators up there I haven't seen yet?

Just curious.

Thanks.

It just indicates that the temperature is cold enough that ice may be present.

the "Ice" just means that at that temp(around 35 degrees F) it begins to freeze and Ice up on the roads...

So it just basically tells you it is cold enough for ice? Seems kinda common sense'ish, then again I can tell if it's cold enough to ice without even knowing the actual temp.

Yeah, you got it.
Funny thing is mine turned on at 1C, but then when it dropped to below freezing at -2C the ice warning wasn't on. I wouldn't trust it or base your driving off the ice warning light thoug.h
