Overheating and need some help fast.

So will the fan clutch be on all the time or just when the AC is on?

I plan on putting the stat back in when I flush the system but at the moment I have advice from three different mechanics that it won't have a negative affect with it being out.

the fan on the water pump always spins if the motor is running. the clutch on the A/C compressor only spins if the ac is on and the motor is running they do not have anything to do with each other. X2 on putting the thermostat back in it traps coolant in the block till it get a certain temp and opens allowing cooler coolant to enter and the hot coolant to enter the radiator to cool. by not having a thermostat in is just cycling the coolant not giving it time to cool off and it not cooling your trans fluid or motor oil that's why it overheating nothings getting a chance to cool down

Really? Three mechs say that?? I would call those garages and tell the owners.. those mechs are idiots.

Put the -stat back in. You will see a nearly instant cooldown.. Being in AZ, I know abt overheating..
