As luck would have it, W is the 8th character. I'm going to have to save up a bit for that but it's definitely in my future. Hopefully mid April.

Does this kit include the gasket or is that going to have to be a separate buy?

You'll have to check with the vendor when you order it, or wait until you get it. The contents varies, most of the kits include the injector bracket, and some of them include the gasket as well. The bracket and gasket are mandatory to do the job. If it doesn't have everything in the box, most of the auto parts stores stock the bracket and gasket. It's cheaper on Amazon, but if you don't need it, add in the cost for return shipping, and you're right back to, or close, to what you'd pay locally for it.

i had the same problem with my blazer it stunk up some rotten egg and ran like sh.. and i was getting bad gas mileage wasting alot of gas.i changed out catalytic converter and three sensors.it wasnt it.did some research on line and found out it was my fuel injectors after all.i changed them out ,and i got them from amazon.com for 220.00bucks let me tell u it made a world of a difference and it wasnt my fuel pump either i had pressure all the time.changed out ignition coil, map sensor too.i was getting that same code random misfire on cylinders.or vacum, and ignition blah, blah.i did this bout two weeks ago a friend of mine put them on and it started rite up,and it still running like new.but i gave it a tune up when i was having this problem too bfore.so try that out.injectors

Out of curiosity, I noticed earlier today that my engine makes a knocking sound, not incredibly loud but noticeable if the radio and a/c are off. I initially i thought it was due to low oil, but I changed my oil on Saturday. I checked the levels and that is fine as well. Any idea what that might be because of?

I did read some where else that it could have something to do with the injectors.
