p0440 to p0442

After the smoker found the leak, could you go back and see it with the naked eye?
I've been dancing around this P0440 as P0442 for a long time too. I haven't gotten it to my friends shop to hook up the smoker.
When inspection time comes, I have been leaving teh tank below 1/2 and reset the light.
The light will stay out and it will pass inspection.
