Default p0466 shuttering...

ok,
so like the title says...the old ride is shuttering/sputtering under load...1500 - 2500rpm roughly.

i have had a evap code (forgot #) stating small leak in evap system.
now that the weather is warm i plan on hunting this down, and since it has become a serious issue as well.

after looking into the code i read that the evap system could be clogged.
i found the one sensor on cross-member where spare would be.

"when it rains...it pours"
while looking for the evap purge solenoid on top the engine i noticed coolant on passenger side along the intake/valve cover. i am guessing i have a gasket job in my very near future as well. no cross contamination as of now....knocking on wood!!

any advice is appreciated as far as time saving or obvious things that might fail...i am hoping that the shuttering/sputtering is linked to the evap code.

when i get this tracked down i will post up anything that might help others.

thanks

LOL You were a game show host in a previous life weren't ya?

I can't see an evap code causing sputtering, mine does that & it's just emmisions. The coolant leak says gasket leak & that WOULD cause sputtering. I'd be weary of coolant in the cylinders.

i agree on the coolant...i pulled plugs recently and check them...all good so far.
thank god.

no on the game show host though...would be nice gig i bet.
i remember growing up and watching price is right and family fued...those guys grabbed some tail from time to time ....ahhh the 80's before P.C. was such a pain in the a$$.

my only issue is i work for pepsi, so i have a constant flow of dt mt dew running through me...so i am over caffeinated about 90% of the time.

i had to quit the reg dew...sugar was killing me...literally.

i also am starting to suspect the front wheels..maybe a thrown weight....would be nice. outta ideas pretty soon.
