P1345 code after cold start up
When i start my blazer in the morning after a very cold night, i get this whining noise just after firing up followed by this code. My blazer has no trouble at all otherwise. it runs just terrific, no other codes pop up after i erase it, and it starts up like normal throughout the rest of the day. I know this code relates to a certain sensor but cannot recall what and also related to distributor/timing problems but i would think i would have some other noticable trouble if that was the case. I'm guessing that it is the fuel pump i'm hearing and the cold weather is more stress on it maybe? i really don't have a clue and i hate erasing this code every morning without resolving it. Any help is appreciated.

Your Cam Position Sensor and Crank Position Sensor are not talking well to each other. They have lost the ability to synchronize their signals...

Is it a simple sensor replacement or a complicated sensor fix? And is there a good OEM online store to get them?

Here is what my GM Service Dvd says to look for:
Check for the following items:
[*]A loose CMP sensor causing a variance in the sensor signal[*]Excessive free play in the timing chain and gear assembly[*]An incorrectly installed distributor--1 tooth off in either the advance or the retard position[*]A loose distributor rotor on the distributor shaft[*]A loose or missing distributor hold down bolt [/ul]
An intermittent may be caused by any of the following conditions:
[*]A poor connection[*]Rubbed through wire insulation[*]A broken wire inside the insulation [/ul]
Thoroughly check any circuitry that is suspected of causing the intermittent complaint.
The Cam Sensor is inside the distributor on/under the base plate.
