So when it was heat did air still blow through? If so then it might be your heater core or maybe your t-stat. I'm sure someone else will have further info to give you

The general rule is: figure out the simplest thing that can cause it, and look at that first.

1) Is there coolant in it? (No coolant, no heat transfer)
2) Is it full? (Ditto above, plus low coolant may not circulate through heater)
3) Is there antifreeze in it? (frozen water doesn't circulate or transmit heat)

Start there.

I have a 1998 blazer, what would it mean if it has heat coming out but not as cold as it use to be, and the rad. temp hover above the cold level, and not in the middle like ti use to be. I also put in a new water pump and raditor 4 mos ago.

Sounds like low coolant in the rad or air in the system. Is the rad full?

flush the heater core, take off the coolant lines and put a hose up to one outlet and watch all the black gunk flow out and then do the same to the other outlet.

yeah sounds like a clogged heater core to me. I should know I have flushed mine twice and the second time i flushed the engine to and changed coolant...now it gets to hot i think i died and went to hell...LoL
