Parking Brake assembly repair?

Parking Brake assembly repair?
Thanks for help! 2000 2WD Blazer Parking brake refused to release. Looking at assembly, release cable holder free and lose, moves back and forth. could not finagle assembly to release. Had to hacksaw connecting bracket underneath. What is best way to get PB assembly out of car to replace/repair? Not obvious! I see ~1/2 bolt heads.
