Default Passenger Side Mirror

Hey guys,

I searched for some information on this topic and didn't find anything, so I apologize if this has been asked before.

Last night I was pulling my kayak down off my 98 Blazer and knocked off my passenger side mirror. It's still connected by the wire, and still works. Right now I've got it duct taped on there but I guess the weight of the mirror pulled it down over night. I'm hoping I can just glue the sucker back on there and not have to worry about it (until my kayak decides to overpower me again). Any suggestions on what I should be using to get that thing back on there? I'd like to get this done today since I've got to work in the morning. I'd imagine this would be pretty simple, but I really want to use the right stuff.

Well i believe in doing things right just buy a new mirror or just cut the wires to the harness and take the mirror off for a quick fix. You will get a new connector with the new mirror

A new mirror is really the only way to fix this. You can try glue, but it might hold one day, or maybe make it a week...doubt it though. Check ebay for replacment mirrors or I am sure 1A has them.

Thanks guys. You're probably right. Cutting corners probably isn't the best way to go.

Repalcing the mirror is actually quite easy. Remove the door panel and with the door glass down a few inches you can reach the two (10mm I think) bolts, disconnect the wiring connector and pull it out.

Only really bad thing about replacing one mirror is that it will be nice and black and shinney, whereas the old one is probably not.
