Default Passlock

Ok I've finally had it with my blazer and this stupid passlock. I've changed everything the pcm the bcm the ign switch the multifunction switch and I'm still having a no start situation once and a while with it. I've done the relearn thousands of times and it helps for a day. How the hell do I eliminate the passlock? Theres gotta be a way to eliminate it.

What about the Passlock Sensor at the Key? It senses the turning of the key and sends the signal to the BCM. Sometimes the wiring (3-wires, Yel, Org/Blk, Red/Wht) gets damaged or the sensor fails.

According to Mitchell, the Passlock sensor is "At Ignition Switch, Part of Lock Module" Look for the (3) small wires.

You should check for Passlock "B" Codes.

B codes won't read on the simpler OBDII readers. You need a mid to high end reader to be sure there are no B codes.

The 3-wire harness is the one.

If you have decided you HAVE to have passlock disabled i believe PCM4Less will do it as part of a tune.... beyond that I'm not sure. But it CAN be done.

Replace lock cylinder and keys, I did that on our 02 impala and it works every time now
Just have to do the relearn long procedure.
This is not the ignition switch it's the key cylinder
