I know the valve is supposed to rattle a little but I have noticed lately that it has been rattling far more so and louder than usual. When I unplug the valve it stops rattling and it's just a constant air sound. I plug it in and it goes from slight rattle to the very loud rattle.

Should I just replace it or is something else causing the rattling? I replaced it a year ago to the month and haven't had any issues until now.

 

Every pcv valve I've tried (about 4 different brands) has rattled no matter what I do. I don't know what causes it, but maybe I'm just lucky enough to always end up with a defect pcv valve. I gave up trying to fix it, but maybe you'll have better luck? lol
