Plugged in the new fuel pump and nothing???

did you change out the electrical plug? most new pumps require to wire the new harness in, not to mention I think there is a safety thing on pumps so you dont burn them up when the tank is completely empty

I tried plugging the new pump before dropping the tank and got nothing. I tried to get power at the plug and got nothing. When turning the key on the relay clicked and then clicked again about 3 seconds later. I tried swapping out relays, nothing. I thought I'd plug a scanner in to see if for some reason it threw a code, nothing. I turn the key to crank the car and it starts????????
I would have thought it was the fuel pump if not for the fact that it wasn't even getting power. Now that it starts and runs fine I cant even do any more diagnosis......
