Question Plugs for Oil Cooler Holes in Radiator

I will be eliminating the oil cooler on my winter beater as the lines are leaking. I have the piece to install the oil filter once the adapter is removed.

Does anyone have a source for plugs that fill the holes left in the radiator once the lines are removed?

Just cut the aluminum lines, crimp them over and smooth them off. That will keep stuff from getting in there...

While I appreciate the response I'm looking for a more OEM and pulled together finish.

Its a winter beater, does the OEM pulled together finish really matter THAT much?

I'm a stickler for details. So, yup.

Not enough of a stickler for details to fix the lines properly?...

Bwahahahaha......this thing has 194xxx miles on it. It's driven less than 3000 miles a year during the winter months. 28 mile round trip commute all surface roads and never sees more than 45mph. I could care less if it has an oil cooler.

It will look oem finished from the top side if you do it right. You only see the top of the upper line anyway unless you start to remove the shroud ...

So you're a stickler, but not a stickler... Gotcha.

Why care that there is anything in the ports? It's not like anything is going to leak out of them other than trace oil that might be left in there. Brake cleaner and a few blasts of air can flush that residual out and that would be that.

If it really keeps you up at night worrying about some insect making a home in there, go buy an assortment of nylon caps and see what fits. A direct fit, sealed plug for this application does not exist.

I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd add a little something for future reference.
A -8 AN ORB plug with o-ring screws right into and seals those holes after you remove the old fitting. They have the correct NPS - American National Standard Straight Pipe Thread in 3/4" x 16tpi. Same as the OEM bottom O-ring fitting has, but with the o-ring at the top under the hex head. Cost about $4.50 each in anodized aluminum and look very professional.
There are also 8 cent plastic red plugs made with that thread, but the only place I could find them the minimum order was a box of 200.
