Default power loss

I have a problem with my 96 Blazer. Symptoms are: while driving sometimes engine skips and if I accelerate around 3000 rpm. Engine hesitates/power-loss. It feels like there is not enough fuel delivered to the engine or the fuel being cut off.
One more thing, all this happened after I replaced the fuel pump, for the first 45 minutes I drove the truck everything was ok, and then I notice the problem.
Could it be the fuel filter?

Thanks,
Paul

I'd do a complete tune-up if not done lately...plugs, wires, rotor, cap, clean egr, clean maf, clean iac, etc...

But the truck was running perfectly ok before the fuel pump change.

Did you turn the key to the on position and off agian like 12 times after you changed the pump? Not start, but on. This primes the fuel system, fills up the fuel fitler, canister, and all lines again. If not, you wont have enough fuel at higher rpms.

If you did that, replace the fuel filter. Then do as above, and if that doesn't fix your problem. Post up, it might be your fuel pressure regualtor or leaky lines under the intake manifold.

What are you running for an air filter?

Just regular ACDelco air filter.
For some reason I think that the problem with my truck is fuel related, because like I said before everything was ok up until my fuel pump went and I had to install new one.

Pretty much the only way to check for fuel related problems is with a fuel pressure tester/gauge. If you have one or have access to one, I can explain further.
