I've got a '98 GMC Jimmy I'm fixing up. It has power seats on the front driver side. All of the movements work properly except for the forward/backward switch. The left rail moves properly, but the right rail does not move at all. It's not locked up, but it almost looks like it's missing the motor.
I've attached some pics. The first pic shows the left side rail motor, which works properly. Is there supposed to be a motor on the right side rail as well? I stuck a hex bit in the little slot and was able to move the right side rail forward and backwards, so I know it's not locked up. It really looks like there should be a motor on both rails, but I don't see another plug for the rail. If anyone has pics of their seat rails that would help a lot too. Thanks! Left motor works properly. Right side has inlet that looks like it would hold a motor. Putting a hex bit in the inlet and rotating it moves the right rail properly.
Right side rail (should there be a motor here, and if so, where is the plug?)
