Pull One Fuse
#11
If you really must do such a thing, I would pull the CRANK fuse in the underhood fuse/relay center. Doing so will disable the starter. If you wanted to do this through a hidden switch, then you would need to get at the yellow wire on the ignition switch harness under the steering column.
I guess yellow wire to 1 side of the switch, then yellow wire to the other side of the switch to the original?? Im basically just creating a bridge right? I suck at wiring -.-

I think so chris
you bridge it with the switch
Yellow wire---------Switch------------ Yellow wire
you bridge it with the switch
Yellow wire---------Switch------------ Yellow wire

Question is now,is where is a sneaky place to put it?

Under the dash by your knees? Like up by the steering column hidden by the plastic "beauty" piece....dunno what it's actually called. the lower dash panel? yeah above that. gotta reach for it but i dont think a "dumb kid" would even think to look there.

Any modification of the wiring adds another failure point in the system so I really don't recommend doing this.

I still stand by my statement of correcting your son rather than altering your vehicle.

I agree with correcting the behavior rather than modify the truck. Im curious what else he is doing beside stealing the blazer!
