Default question about the ac

i just got a new ac compressor and accumulator put in, and just got it recharged. it runs perfectly and reaches 40 degrees. i had the hood popped and the car running...when i shut if off a noise came from the accumulator, like a gradually decreasing hissing. this normal?

We had a couple days of hot humid weather this week
My wife and I drove seperate to an apppointment after work one night
She was driving my Blazer and I had her Civic
I offered to take the Blazer home and leave her the Civic
She laughed and said no way because the Blazer has awesome A/C compared to the Civic
I bought the Civic brand new and it never had great A/C in my opinion

yea i had it charged last year and the lowest it hit was 60, the compressor was leaking very slowly, and by this spring i gave it a shot, it was blowing hot. theres no delay in the cold air coming out either. instantly cold. best 400 bucks ive spent in it. wouldve been slightly cheaper if you didnt have to buy the accumulator and orifice rings just to get the 1 year warranty on the compressor. thats how you know things arent built to last anymore

Did your "mechanic" make sure to pull a vacuum on the system before he unsealed that accumulator during installation?
