question about front axle actuator
Hey guys,
My 4x4 was not engaging. I removed the battery and tray, The actuator was in good condition as well as the cable was moving freely.
Now when I manually compressed the actuator I can hear air coming out near the firewall. When the truck is off and I do this should I be hearing this or does that mean there is a vacuum leak?

I did, if you have someone who can squeeze it and you stick your ear over there and track it. I took a piece of tube and connected it to the line, so I could move around and blow on it till I found the leak. It was were the line goes down by the distributor by the firewall on mine. New piece of line and a small hose barb fixed mine.
