Default R&R sunroof tracks & Motor

Does anyone have instructions, or can guide me to instructions on Sunroof track remove/ replacement? I need a new switch that operates the sunroof positions...open/close/up/down. The switch is located on top of the motor so I have to drop everything to get at it for replacement.

Sunroof Doctor does not give instructions.

The switch is located on top of the motor??....I thought the switch was located in the mini overhead console...?? Is there another switch on top of the motor?

I know the motor is accessed by removing the mini overhead console.....one screw and then pull it down; you can then access the motor.

I have not gone any further than this...never had a need to.

Good luck with this one.

Lanny, yes there is another that is on top of the motor. GM part # 12459096. They call it a switch. This part controls the travel and where the sunroof stops.

Okay...the limit switch...now understand.....thought you were referring to the switch that one presses to open/close the sun roof.

Sorry I could not be of more help. If you get the sun roof apart, take some pictures and post....would like to see what is actually in there.
