Default Radiator Shroud

So I am currently about 80% done piecing together items needed for the rebirth of my 98 blazer... I need to replace the radiator/fan shroud... I am open to ideas preferrably as cheap as possible... If I save enough rebuilding it to be street legal I can add a leaf and shackles and maybe put a nice little payment towards a 6incher...

um.... why not just go to 'a wealth of quality parts' a.k.a "cash for clunkers" filled junk yard and yank one from a s10/s15, blazer/jimmy, etc and walk out with a $10-15 tab as opposed to trying to fab one. even if you get a sheet of 1/8th aluminum and bend to suit, you will be in for more than that...

One of the better "cheaper" solutions I've seen is to use a aluminum cookie pan thats as close to the core size as you can get. Cut the hole for the fan and attach it.

I built my first one from aluminum I had laying around. The fans I have now are off a intrepid (2 11 inches) and the factory shroud covered the rad just fine.

Intrepid fans before I put them on. Wish I had after pics

Thanks for the ideas... I will be calling the local pull and save and seeing their price tags
