need help with radiator shroud

Default need help with radiator shroud

hey i got my radiator shroud in the mail today from Lmc.it's for my 78 i unpacked it and went to put it on and it really makes no sense how it fits on .first off the radiator hose from the top of the engine block to the radiator is completely in the way and the only holes on the shrouid is 1 hole in the top right i dont understand how youd possiably mount it i got some pictures ..does anyone have a 78-80 that could send me a picture of how yours looks because i think alot of ****s has gotten changed in mine ..thanks i reallly wana get thisthing on so i can drive it again!

Your upper radiator hose doesn't look right to me...

do you think it might be the wrong radiator i bought the truck from tweakers and thers all kinds of weird stuff...the radiators from pick n pull ..the shroud itslef dosnt line up with that top bracket at all i called lmc they said they dont have anything differant the truck \according to the numbers on it originally came with a diesel and its got a 350 but i cant find any info or pictures to see if the made the front clip differant from a 350 to diesel..any one please help

I doubt the radiator is the problem. Those bars that bolt to the radiator upper mount aren't stock. The radiator shroud should bolt in where those do and fit into little clips on the bottom, IIRC.

thats what you get for buying new stuff. i always cobble my crap together from junkyards and random trucks and everything fits fine but yeah your radiator hose looks weird, maybe spin it up ward like the above pic is

ive been to all the junk yards these damn things are heard to find here im thinkin maybe the 1 peice shroud my be differant?are there any other chevy trucks that have about the same deminsions or that might fit

There does seem to be a few different designs for some reason. When I built my last truck I went to my pile of shrouds and had to fit a few. And they were all off fullsizes
