Rear Brakes Groan/Squeak/???
#11
LOL. Once a friend gave me a handy tip, that You may blow the pistons out of the caliper with a compressed air applied to the inlet socket. I was in a rush and skip the part of covering the caliper with a rag. Just made a quick check the piston doesn't blow up into my face. Then, within a same moment I've seen the black oil drips going towards the ceiling and had a thought "oh sh... the bleeding valve is open". OK, I know it's a difference with the compressed air, I just wanted to share an anecdote and the tip
I've been using the BBP rebuild sets over a year ago. I am satisfied with their quality.

Well aware of the piston movement. Have not had even a minute to consider doing anything to my Blazer, it has just been sitting. Perhaps Sunday I will find the time to remove the rear calipers and put something between the pads to simulate a rotor.

Thought I should update this posting with what the noise source was from; it was the two sheet metal clips that go into the caliper bracket and then then the brake pads go into. They were loose on both sides.
I simply bent them so they were tight in the caliper bracket. Made getting the pads in a bit more difficult but got both sides in and no more noise.
So all good now.....
