Rear interior door panel help!

I have an old 2001 Blazer 4x4 4 door, and I need help removing the rear door panel to replace dead speakers. I've searched this forum and found that I need to "pop off" the arm rest cover on the rear door panel to get to a couple bolts holding the door on (unlike the front panels which expose the bolts underneath the armrest and is easier to remove). Problem is I can't get these arm rest covers off, I even wedged a crowbar inbetween the crevices both above and below the armrest cover. I suspect that the previous owners may have epoxied or super glued the cover in place. I can get replacement panels pretty cheap but I don't want to end up replacing the door. Can anyone here give me pointers on how to safely remove the panel without destroying the door? Maybe some pics of how the rear door panels are removed and the exposed surfaces so I know where to pry/break/cut the panel without damaging the door?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
