Default Rear Wheel Bearing Size

For the sake of clarity, does anyone know the correct rear wheel bearing diameter for an 01 Blazer 4wd (GU6)? Based on what my local parts store lists on their website, it seems that they may have this and the 8" ring gear bearings confused. Thanks!

Default

On my 98 (same as 01) Blazer rear axle I used Timken 5707 It specs as 1.4016 (or 1.402) x 2.252 x .698. To get the old ones out I used a 4' piece of conduit right through the differential and a 2 lb hammer. You can buy or rent a puller with outside hooks made for pulling them. Conduit was on hand and the right price. The new ones go in pretty easy using a piece of 2" copper pipe and hammer. The copper won't damage the bearing since it rests on the outer race. A round block of hardwood would also work if it's 2-1/8 to 2-1/4 dia. They aren't an interference fit so they go in pretty easy. There is also a bunch of stuff regarding whether it is a Buffalo or Canadian axle for which seal to use. Either will work. The axle on my truck had one of each when I took it apart and neither was leaking. But since i was in there already I put in new ones. Rather than have to drain the diff in the future.
