Default Rear Wiper Motor

Just would like a few opinions on what others might think is the issue with my rear wiper. When it's activated it makes this terrible clicking noise and just vibrates in place (as if the gears just aren't working or something). If I get out of the vehicle and give it a little push it will cycle back and forth but upon stopping and trying to restart it will click again. I removed the wiper arm itself and activated the wiper and it doesn't make the noise and cycles correctly.

I think the motor is just going and I'll probably need to replace it but would like see if maybe its another issue that I've overlooked before ordering the part.

Mine did the same thing, I assumed the gears were stripped. I never dug into it to see what was wrong though. I replaced the whole thing with a used one.

Yeah I think I'm just going to go ahead and order the new one. I'll post back how it turns out.

on the end of the wiper assembly take the rubber cap off and snug up the nut very gently should solve your problem

I gave that a try at multiple levels of tightness from super loose to tight and it still would do it regardless. I have the part on order to get here Monday and i'll report back.

Replaced the motor, everything seems to be working correctly now.
