Hey guys, I want to put a reciever hitch on my 96 blazer, 4dr 4x4 with the spare tire underneath the back end. Just wondering what kind of options there are and what anyone might reccomend for ease of install and price. Thanks again

 

I would probably go to a U-haul rental place, and have them put one on. When I sold my 95 POS, it was part of my deal on trade-in, that I got to keep the hitch, to put on my 98 that I'd just bought. One would ASSume that it would fit.....but somehow, it was about 1/8th of an inch too narrow, to fit on the 98 frame(I don't know how this could be possible, but it was). We fought it forever, then went to U-haul, and they couldn't do it either.......well, they did, but couldn't with also getting the bumper holes to line back up properly, so I had to agree to take it as-is(bumper in hand, but hitch installed), and redrill(1/8 of an inch!) the bumper holes, then replace the bumper myself.

BTW- I had all the parts, and U-haul charged me $50 labor(although they were probably regretting it).
