Ok so in my 98 blazer I just got done replacing the intake manifold gaskets, oil cooler lines, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor button. The problem is now that I have everything back together it is hesitant to start and once running the fan runs all the time and it backfires every few seconds it also is running a little rough it also smells a little of raw fuel out of the exhaust only thing I can think of is the distributor is off but I'm not really sure what else it could be any help would be greatly appreciated

I believe that it goes 3-1-5 on the cap though... Were you connecting the wires per the numbers located on the top of the cap?
