replaced rear axle, parking brakes wont fit
So when I got my 2000 4 door 4X4 blazer, The rear brakes were shot. I was missing half the rotor because the previous owners sucked. it ran like crap. all sorts of good stuff.
Anyway, I caught a leak in the rear diff and got the replacement parts, and had to wait a day to get the gasket. went to get gasket, and on the way home, 1/2 mile from my house, the rear end went. So I got another and put it in today. I have no cable connected to my parking brake release, so in reality, right now they are not all that important, but I wanted to install them so when I get that cable, they are there, and already paid for as they are rather expensive. So I replace all the hardware and go to put the disc on.
doesn't fit. so I screw around with it for a little while and notta. Take the parking brake off, and try to put it in my disc. it doesn't fit. I can make it go in by beating on it. So I take my wire wheel to clean up the inside of the disc. This allows the parking brake to fit wear I can spin it and it barely rubs. So I think, ok, this should work.
It doesn't. I have my adjusted closed completely, and when I beat on the second side of the parking brake, it is to wide to fit in my disc. It is the right parking brake, and I replaced the discs with the right parts, so I am at a loss. For now the parking brakes are sitting in my kitchen.
Are these always a pain? People say they are easy to install. The video shows an easy install. I cannot do an easy install, apparently.

Have you backed off the length adjuster in the e-brake cable? Sounds to me like you're saying that your shoes are adjusted too tight and you have no adjustment left in the shoe adjuster, so have you tried loosening up the cable adjuster that is located along side of the frame, just below the driver side door?
I appreciate the page out of the book. I have checked them both now, but the problem is, even keeping the the crap out from the adjuster so nothing is pushing on it, it doesn't fit. lol. I will have to check more in depth with it today. It is being a PITA though, I can tell you.
