Default Replacing leaking fuel line, couple of questions

I have a feed line leak right under the passenger rear door. Instead of patching this, i would rather just run a new line from the filter to the sender. 1995 gmc jimmy btw. 4 door

My question is this, can i just buy a 3/8 run of fuel line, bend it like the old and connect to the new filter and the rubber line? I guess my real question is...are the ends the same thread pitch and size wise.

I would assume they are, but do not want to rip it apart without knowing.

Thanks

Tim

Ok, so any line i buy off the shelf will not have the correct ends on it? Just wanted to verify that is what you meant.

Thanks

Somebody on here bought oem replacement lines somewhere or made a trade and got them.If your going to but them from Autozone or one of the chain auto part stores they wont have the correct fitting on them.

So, i went to the store last night...did some poking around.

The 3/8 line they sell will screw right into the filter...The only unknown left is the rubber line coming off of the sender...I would imagine they would have the same end...I can not see why they would have a fuel line with 2 different ends.

So the plan is to remove the filter/line all the way to the rubber line on the tank. I think that is the best way to fix this mess.
