So I was able to get my encoder motor on but now I seem to be having an issue with the transmission. It seems like when you put it in gear, the rpms shoot right up. Any ideas? I am getting so frustrated with this. And I need to replace the fuse for the 4wd as well.

Is the transfer case in neutral?

I'm not sure. It seems to go in reverse fine but not forward. would that cause it? I still need to go get a fuse for the 4wd as well.

If it goes into reverse, then the transfer case is not in neutral... That is an odd one. Did you possibly damage the main wiring harness into the transmission somehow?

I'm going to check to see if I somehow unplugged the one going into the transmission. And there is a little power when going forward but it doesn't switch into a higher gear. The 4 button switch to the 4wd still doesn't have lights on it and I still have to switch out the fuse. Could that be the problem? The tranny wasn't bad when I started this ordeal.
