RKE module

My original RKE module is #15732806...(from my 2001 blazer)...it's toast.
I got a working one from a 2002 blazer.
The number on this one is 15042969...
Can't get it to work with my fobs.
If I purchase a fob that coincides with the newer module...will it work?.....theoretically?

For module #15042969 you need a remote fob stamped KOBLEAR1XT and then it should work.

RKE not factory installed

i bought a remote online with that exact FCCID but if i find a module that works with that one, can i just plug it into the wiring harness even thou my used truck i bought never had RKE?
