Default RPM'S

Just wondering what the rpm's should be in reverse and drive. mine i thought was to low at 500 rpm, sometimes reverse could be slightly lower.

You are quoting idle RPM when in reverse gear and in drive gear? They both should be quite similar, but so long as they are between 500-600 RPM with a fully warmed up engine/transmission, you should be fine. Is it wanting to stall out on you? Have you ever cleaned your throttle body?

no i havent cleaned that or the iac or the egr, waiting for a warmer day. but the rpm's do what they want, sometimes they will be ok sometimes they will be lower then ok. and yes in gear at idle with foot on brake no system lol. oh and i dont get anymore anymore flickering headlights with the newad244 alternator, so far so goodon this alternator. but yea the only reason i ask about the idle rpm's is cuz they are never the same, always changes. add this too sometimes when shifting into drive the rpms will go higher stay there for a second or two then go to the regular 500 rpm's

I prefer to remove the TB to make sure that you do not inadvertently drop something down into the intake.
