Is a little bit of rust underneath the car a big problem, or can I get something done to clean it up? I just bought a 1999 GMC Envoy Jimmy and carfax said it went to canada and some other places up north so theres a bunch of rust underneath it and my dad says "the bottom will fall out one day" haha. Also, everyone tells me that my pistons for the tailgate glass need replacing, but the glass squeaks and rattles alot. Is this a sign for new pistons or something else?
Thanks

if it is only a little rust it is genraly easy to deal with, you just need to get all the rust off with a rust removing pad. once the rust is gone paint over it with some rust proff/inhibiting paint or undercoat. make sure you get rid of all of the rust or it will just start again under the paint.
as for the rear glass, does the rear window saty up when you put it up, if it does than the shocks are fine. it can squeek for many reasons. the rubber seal around the glass can squeek so can the latch and the spare tire caryer, depending on if you have the talegate mounted spare tire.

the window does stay up, but i dont have a spare tire on the tailgate. im sure the squeaking is coming from the glass because i had someone look for the sound in the back while i drove it lol, but i used to think it was something w/the rubber seal but my cousin told me it could just be the shocks. if it was the rubber seal wat would u do?

i think it is proabably the latch where the glass closes and locks into the tailgate. spray it will some lube and see if that helps. it will proabobly wear off but then you will know where it is and we can help you more.
