I don`t know if this has been addressed before but ,
my wifes 99 Blazer 4dr 4wd LT won`t start. Ran fine yesterday. The security light on the dash now stays on. I assume something tripped it. Is there a way to reset this?

What you do is you sit with the key in the on position for about 15 minutes I think.... and then the security passlock system will be reset....

Try this, it worked for me and a few others. Remove the batteries from your remote keyfob,
then press the open and close buttons together for a few seconds. This has the effect of
clearing any memory in the fob, then replace the bats and try! Good luck i know the feeling
you have.

Ok, so the fob has no memory, but this trick worked for me and others on YOUR forum.
I was just trying to help the man.

Thanks for all the replies. Tried the key in the on position for 15-20 minutes. That seemed to do the trick. It started right up. Thanks again for the replies.
