Service engine soon.
Hi. My service engine soon light just came on in my 99 Blazer after a short trip on the highway. It runs fine...no change in performance at all. It's got 80k miles on it.
Probably no way to read codes witout a scanner right? Any ideas?
Thanks.

Scanners are definitely nice to have. I own an AutoTap. Definitely a good tool to have in the garage when working on newer (96+) vehicles. My Autotap lets me view/record sensor data as well as read/clear codes.
let me tell ya something....DON'T ever lose your gascap...its sets off the SES i never got around to getting a gascap bc i was in college and i had to end up goin to get it scanned and i felt like a total *** bc i never thought that would set it off. o well its all set now. good luck, hopefully its nothing to expensive
I have even seen over filled gas tanks cause SES lights as well as under tightened gas caps. I always fill up until it clicks itself off and that is it. Also, when I tighten down the gas cap, I make sure that it clicks atleast 3 times.
Have you gotten your codes read yet?
