Default Service Engine Soon Light?

Ok so after messing with my blazer the other day and finally fixing the 4x4 (disconnected vacuum line) I might have caused the service engine soon light to come on. Does anyone know if taking off the cover to intake manifold could have had something to do with this. I only did that and I also reconnected the vacuum line. Could this be the answer to the light being on or is this something i should go get checked out?

I got a SES light when the hose clamp connecting the intake pipe to the MAF loosened up and eventually popped off. I'd check all the connections along the intake pipe, and also make sure the two sensors are plugged in and seated properly.

On an unrelated note, do you ever get anything installed at the Raleigh Circuit City recently?

The light is telling you something. Get it read and let us know what the code is.

I pluggedin ascan toolto the port and for some reason it wasnt working. It worked on my friends car, which isalso a 2000,and he says the tool is for all cars 1995 and up. Then a week later my check engine light just turns off and i havnt seen it come back on since (about3 days ago). Do i still need toget it looked at?

Check the CIG fuse.

If the light went off, then the fault may no longer be present, but I would still be curious as to what the code was.
