ACDELCO Part # 214633 is the proper part. Be aware that the hose connection may be different. All of the documentation states that a new hose will be needed, but in all of them that I have replaced (6 that I can remember), it has never needed a new hose.
Thanks, That Delco Site I gave ( above) had that part and I clicked on it but there was no picture for it so I had no way to confirm.

Thanks

Now that I know what part number and Description.. I can find it. Here's somethinmg I stumbled on. I wonder if ours can be cleaned to keep the Solenoid from hanging up and giving us a Code. The pictures will probably tell me whether this one can be cleaned.

I'll check Rock Auto

I know and I apoligize for beating this to death but The more I look up Parts the more I have questions as to where the Small Evapo Leak is coming from PO440. The Item by teh spare tire is a Canister Vent Valve but there is a Canister Vent Solenoid up on the Intake manifold. Looking at what they are doing at http://www.s-10crewcab.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6108 it looks like this Valve gets dirty and causes the solenoid at the intake manifold to hang open . Is that what is happening with our S10's. Even if I replace the Valve at the Rear tire, the solenoid at the Intake might be dirty enough not to close.... it's that a true statement?

Default Vent Solenoid..Purge solenoid

The evap canister is located behind the driver rear tire. Purge solenoid is located on the engine in front of the ICM. Vent solenoid is on the cross member just forward of the spare.

If replacing the gas cap did not cure the problem, then your problem is likely the vent solenoid, but check over all of the EVAP lines first to make sure there is nothing cut or broken.
NAPA only shows a Vent solenoid for my '99 but they call it the Purge solenoid.
Is there a rubber 'o' ring in the hose that attaches to the Purge solenoid that keeps it from leaking when the hose is snapped in? My little plastic snap ring on the hose is broken, will that cause a Code? PO440 I think I have

Default gas cap code- new cap didn't fix

I have had the same problem since December. Bought a new cap and disconnected the battery to clear the code. After the 3rd start, the light came on again. Same code. Every once and awile, i will hear a high pitch whistling coming from the rear of the vehicle.

2000 4dr, 4x4. 100k

What is the most likely culprit of these 3 sensors?

Thanks

The most likely cause is the vent solenoid under the back of the truck. But to get further into it than that, you really should create a new post on your problem seeing as how the author of this thread still has not remedied his problem.
