Default Same Problem

My son's 2001 blazer has the same problem. Changed gas caps no difference. Where exactly is the solenoid and what is necessary to remove ? Thanks.

Search "vent+solenoid" and you should find pictures of the location for 2dr & 4dr models.

The one you bought, this is the one that bots down to the Intake Manifold or the one by the spare tire Crossmember?

Vent solenoid....purge solenoid. the description seems to be used for both parts

it is confusing b/c there is no uniform name for it. but it is the vent solenoid in front of the spare tire. it was making the inside of my truck smell like gas. Here is what autozone had it listed as and the part number. Purge Valve is what is says on the box PV140.

the purge solenoid (the one in the intake) was a little cheaper but they had both.
