Hey Les,
Got my Bafx obdII scanner. Everything connects I choose Gm, Powertrain, full autoscan, obd2...and address, then it begins to scan. After it finishes I get the message " no supported Pids". After that nothing works on the Car gauge pro. Any suggestions?

The vehicle is a 96' model Chev Blazer with a 4.3

Ok, if I use " All (obd II Generic)" it connects and I can add gauges but not a cam retard.
It's not in the "generic" choices.
When I go back to "gm" blah, blah... It get unsupported Pids.

Are the gauges you add showing data when the engine is running?

Did you go into the bluetooth settings and "pair" with the OBD-II bluetooth interface?

When I first got my BAFX adapter, I think Car Gauge Light and Car Gauge Pro gave very unhelpful error messages when I didn't pair with the OBD-II bluetooth adapter. The Torque Light app told me it couldn't find an OBD-II adapter and suggested pairing to a bluetooth device or setting up WiFi connection to a WiFi device.

Well, the gauges are working when it connects using the generic choice. When I choose to connect with the gm powertrain, it does a scan, and the message says" unsupported pids" and goes no further. I can setup gauges but they don't respond.

Car Gauge Pro was really designed for Ford and Nissan. It does a LOT on my 2008 Ford Ranger including airbag and brakes Please see my post in the other thread on CMP retard. Car Gauge Pro may be having trouble with 1996 for some reason.

Also, for anyone using Car Gauge Pro the CMP retard to use on the Blazers is indeed the single asterick one. I tested today and single asterick was 0.7 while the double asterick was 1.2. Other software I have matches the 0.7 for CMP retard on my vehicle.
