Shaking/vibrating from rear
I have a 97 Blazer 4x4 4.3. I have a shaking/vibrating coming from the rear. It usually does when going around 55-60mph and going up any hill. It will do fine in lowerspeeds and usually on flat roads. When it starts, I can let off the gas and it will quit. Transmission shifts smooth. Thought it was only doing it in overdrive so I put it in 3rd gear and tried it. Still done it. It is very loud and can be felt easily. I havent checked anything out yet, just thought I would get some opinions first. Any suggestions would be a great help.
If you find out what the problem is with yours, let me know. Or if anyone else has any ideas, I would like to hear them. Mine is used as a spare, so it is not driven much anymore.
I checked out the u joints. There is no play at all in the driveshaft. Started to check some stuff and noticed if if you shake the rear passenger side tire you get a popping noise. It also seems like it has some play in it. Does this sound like a bearing?
