Default Shocks tight

Hi. I'm trying to put in my front shocks and they are real tight. They are the correct size but the area is narrow compared to the new shock where the bolt goes in. Please any advice.

Default Shocks too tight

I have a 95 Chevy blazer 4x4. I live in Agawam Ma. And I'm trying to fix the truck little by little myself. I already replaced the tie rods. And now I'm trying to replace the front shocks but where the bolt goes the area is tight like. Real tight for the shock. Is there anyone. That can give me any suggestions. Please

Mine where tight also. Spread em a bit with a hammer and then even hammered them in once started. Dont worry you cant really hurt anything
